Urdaneta City University (UCU) recorded its highest number of cum laude graduates in ten years during the 73rd commencement exercises last year.
The university recognized 29 Latin honor awardees, consisting of 2 magna cum laude and 27 cum laude distinctions.
Based on records from the Office of the University Registrar from 2015 to 2025, the College of Teacher Education produced the most Latin honors with 28.
It was followed by the College of Business Management and Accountancy with 22.
UCU recorded no Latin honors during academic years 2019–2020 and 2020–2021 when the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted global education.
The graduates began their studies during the shift to online learning caused by the pandemic and the emergence of artificial intelligence.#
