Malacañang has directed the implementation of appropriate alternative work arrangements in government offices and alternative learning modes for classes at all levels in public and private schools in 14 regions, including Pangasinan, on September 10, 2026, due to continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat).
Under Memorandum Circular No. 135, the directive also covers the National Capital Region and the provinces of La Union, Benguet, Bataan, Bulacan, Pampanga, Zambales, Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro.
The circular also states that implementation of alternative learning modes is unless otherwise directed by the respective Local Chief Executives.
